Djema Baruh (CEE Trust)
Djema is a Program Director for the CEE Trust, responsible for Bulgaria and Hungary. She is interested in civil society, politics, education, literature and music. She graduated from Sofia University.
Tomáš Bella (SME.sk)
Tomáš Bella is the deputy director of Sme.sk, Slovakia’s most popular news site, where he is responsible for new projects and software development. He covered new media and technology trends as a reporter for the daily newspaper SME and other publications 1997-2007, then he worked for two years as editor-in-chief of Sme.sk. He has a master’s degree
in Journalism and Mass Media Science from Comenius University in Bratislava.
Jerzy Celichowski (OSI)
Jerzy works for the Information Program of the Open Society Institute. He has an interest in civil society and the new media, particularly in the Central and Eastern Europe. He is a graduate of Central European University and the London School of Economics.
Brian King (Mozilla)
Brian is the owner and chief developer of Briks Software, a consulting firm specializing in the creation of Firefox add-ons and web-enabled applications based on Mozilla’s XUL technology; he has been working with Mozilla technologies for over ten years. He is also President of the Mozdev Community Organization, a nonprofit organization operating the Mozdev.org site for developers of Firefox add-ons and other Mozilla-based applications. Brian is based in Slovenia.
Zvezdan Martič (RTV Slovenia)
Zvezdan was born in Celje, Slovenia. In 1987, as a student of electronics at the University of Ljubljana, he began working at TV Ljubljana, later known as TV Slovenija (part of RTV Slovenija). He was a journalist for the daily newscast and the front man for various informational programs and documentaries. After receiving an engineering degree, he specialized in science and technology and for several years worked as a journalist, front man, scriptwriter, producer and editor for the educational program department. During this time, he also produced travel documentaries. In 2001, Zvezdan inaugurated the establishment of the multimedia centre at RTV Slovenija and was assigned the position of project leader. He is a member of the Online Service Group (OLS), the Teletext group and a member of the Benchmarking group at EBU (European Broadcasting Union). In addition, Zvezdan is a lecturer in multimedia at The Institute and Academy of Multimedia - Vocational College of Multimedia in Ljubljana.
